DEATH PENALTY

            The death penalty, in other words, capital punishment is execution of someone, for she or he has done a serious crime, such as murder.It has always been controversial issue of system of justice. Recently, because capital crime rates have increased, people living  in countiries which are not applied death penalty have started talking about whether it is mandatory or not. Many people support the capital punishment, while others are adverse to it. The dissidents think as everyone has right of life, it should be abolished. On the other hand, the  supportives allege that it has deterrent effect on criminals who tend to commit a crime. In my view, that capital punishment decreases crime is certain, so it should be applied in particular cases, such  as murder, ravishment and high treason.

                First of all,  there is no doubt that capital punishment has a deterrent effect criminal rates. Scientific studies have consistently demonstrated that executions deter people from committing crime. Criminals who plan their crimes very carefully, will be deterred by the death sentence because they would consider  that they will be caught. The respected Thorsten Sellin studies of the United States in 1962, 1967 and 1980 concluded that the death penalty was a deterrent.In recent years, in New York, crime rates have decreased dramatically because America is a country which has still applied deaht penalty.  The fac t that there are a lot of evidences to support the view that it deters criminals is good reason why  capital punishment should be applied worldwide.

                 Families of person who is assaulted and murder victims undergo severe trauma and loss, which no one should minimize. Even if executions do not end their agony, it may help  taking away their pain a little bit. Families of murder victims would benefit psychologically. Hugo A. Bedau, professor of philosophy at Tufts University says, "The death penalty guarantees that the person  who is inflicted will commit no more crimes. He or she is prevented  from doing so”.

                Capital punishment can provide a safer environment for us. We have watched many times in a national television show or newspapers about a killer who walks freely in the streets because he or she planned the whole murder plot purposely in a state where capital punishment do not exist. Many killers plan their plots ahead of time, because they know even if they get caught by the policeman they will not be faced with a capital punishment. It is horrific for people living in this environment. They can be under dangerous. When the killers, rapist or treason are captured in the states with capital punishment they can not cause any harm in society. One who is a killer will always be a killer unless they are not punished with execution.

                In conclusion, criminality  is the illegal issue caused harm in society  and no one has a right to hurt the other one. Some people call the death penalty cruel and unusual because they tink that innocent people may be executed due to any misunderstanding. I totally disagree about it. Advocates of capital punishment claim that innocents are only very rarely put to death, and that for the most part those sentenced to die are certainly guilty. The death penalty is a justified, legal, systematic application. It is the best way to prevent misconducts .

                

                                                        EDUCATION SHOULD BE FREE

While students have to pay for  education in some countries, some other countries such as Denmark, Finland provide  free education to their students. Education can be both online and formal but it is  every citizen’s right. Countries are responsible for providing tuition people.In my view, especially for all successful people should be given free training because doing so will  develop societies and has several advantages.

 First of all, student who is intellegent and can not educate lack of money can go to school, so the gap between rich and poor students decreases as poorer students have more opportunity to gain degree.  College degree helps raise the standard of living by preparing students for jobs with better salaries, which offer personal fulfillment.This means they will live in comfortable conditions in future. As a student,  if you don’t have chance financially, how can you obtain all of these occasion? Because of these reasons we should think deeply about free education.

Students at college are not only  being given technical skills desired by employers, but also are questioning, analyzing, synthesizing and creating new knowledge, and this will be a tremendous resource to the society as a whole. The biggest communal and scientific success are gift from people who have broad vision and can plunge into things which are not seen. That is one of the important reason why everyone should be trained in the world.

The economy also benefits from the increased pool of highly educated labor. An educated workforce attracts employers and foreign investment. Socially, a more educated population should have more choices regarding nutrition, jobs and lifestyle. It is not diffiult to find a good job for well-qualified people.On the other hand university fees only contribute a small proportion of the university budget so it is not good reason to take fee from students.

In conclusion, for all these reasons I believe paying tuition for  education is not good  and solution. This just decreases the educated’s number. In any society, the more there are trained people the more you live better life conditions in every espects. On top of being a fair system about education, it is most likely to improve the quality of people.

                The Harmful Effects of Alcohol

You have  heard many times about the harmful consequences of alcoholism. Alcoholism is one of the basic problems in society. The effects of this illness are really serious. Many people get used to drink alcohol , and they can easily abuse; that is the problem. Alcohol is harmful   especially in terms of physically, psychologically, and economicly .

The first effects of alcoholism is physical. These are the most important because these can cause your death. For example, alcoholism causes cancer in the stomach, kidneys, and liver. Besides, alcohol alters the digestion of nutrients that the body needs to stay healthy. Alcoholism also causes severe damage in the neurons, so it causes alterations in the body movements, loss of appetite, and depression. There are other effects in the body like gastritis and cirrhosis of the liver. All these physical consequences could cause your death if you drink alcohol in mass quantities.

The second effects caused by alcoholism are psychological. At the beginning, alcohol makes you feel relaxed, but if you drink it in excess, it increases anxiety and causes depression. It also causes family and legal problems, violence, changes of behavior, suicide, among others. Alcohol is very powerful and alters all your normal behaviors.

The third effects of alcoholism are economic. According to the National Institute and Drug Abuse, drug abuse and dependence cost an estimated $98 billion. Alcohol is not cheap. If you drink two or three times in a week, it could cost you about $1000 pesos or more a week! People do not think about the money and spend almost everything when they are drunk.

In conclusion, the effects of alcoholism which are physical, psychological, and economic can cause many problems that affect your life in all aspects. Alcohol alters your brain, muscles, digestion process, and other disorders that affect your health. It also can cause you depression or changes in your behavior that result in problems with your family, friends, and with yourself. Besides, it will leave you in poverty because it cost a lot. Finally, I invite you to think about it and ask you why drink it?

CAUSES of GLOBAL MIGRATION

     Migration which means movement of people from one place to another has been

during human history.To place where is gone ,there are two kinds of migration;internal migration and global migration.Thanks to technology,global migration is common today's

world.Because technological improvements have made global migration easer.There are two

basic reasons why people migrate intercontinental.These are economic and socail questions.

     One reason of global migration is economic.People who are educated and want better life conditions can migrate to other countries which provide to emigrants better working

conditions. Industrialized countries pay high salary for the educated, afford them good working opportunity and more technology.This type of migration is seen mostly undeveloped or underdeveloped countries,such as Indian,Pakistan,Algeria,Tunisia.However,this situaiton can cause some troubles for these countries.For instance, they lose their specialized clerks, such as doctors, engineers, economist and artificer. While their development slows down because of population overspill,developed countries ,like America, redouble their power .For this reason,global migrations must be limited by governments and people who consider to move must be encouraged to work for their own country's benefit.

     Another reason of global migration is socail affairs,such as war,natural boundary

changes,starvation,drought and epidemic disease.People who suffer from natural disasters and wars migrate another regions by abandoning their domicile.But migrations can result in different issues in some cases. For example; three years ago a civil war started in Syria and thousands of Syrian citizens had to immigrate to Turkey.On the other hand,this event effected Turkish people in a bad way both economically and socially.Social structure broke down in Turkey because of this dense wave of immigration. Because The Turkish Government spent a lot of money for Syrian People by ignoring its own citizen.House rent,food prices and theft events increased.Turkish People started to feel uncomfortable themselves. So cultural differences,hostility and socail conflicts begun between Turkish and Syrian People.

     Both emigrants and people living in districts where is moved have to difficulties to

adopt to each other.As a result, race riot can happen.This means world will has to face a new

global problems.Unless governments improve life conditions for their citizens and narrow the

move,migration will be an important point for humanity and world

                        DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MARRIED AND SINGLE LIFE

       Today, a lot of significant number of people are being married and still being single. This has changed their lives and gives the differences between their lives. However, when people get married, their lives do not become exactly like single life.In fact,married life and single life differ in terms of the people's life style,companionship, and responsibility.

       Firstly, Lifestyle is the first difference between single and married people lives. Single people will have much more privacy in their life. They will not be bothered by anybody in their homes. Nobody will command them not to sleep late, not to watch movie too much and so on; and single people can live a free life too. They can spend their time with their friends anywhere and anytime they want. In contrast, married people will be bothered by their live partners. They have to take care of their children and their partners. They can’t live a free life. If they want to go out with their friends, they must get permission from their partners first before they go. Married people are more busy compare to single people; because married people have to take care of their children and their partners, unlike single people who don’t have children and partners.

       Secondly, companionship is the next difference between single and married people's lives. A husband will depend on his wife, and a wife will depend on her husband. Supportiveness will be achieved easily by married people from their partners, parents and their children unlike single people who don’t depend on anybody in this world. They can’t trust anyone to share their secrets and another important part of their life except their parents. Supportiveness can be achieved only from their parents and their friends.

       Lastly, responsibility is the last difference between single and married people lives.While married people have to manage their money or expenses gently and economically every day,single people have no this kind of problem because they are as an indivual in the life and do not have to think someone else economically.While single people only think himself, married people are also responsible for their partners and raising their children.The life is easy for single people, on the other hand the life is hard and complicated for married people.

       There are certainly challenges of single and married life in itself. In the single life difficulties affect a single person, but married life's difficulties affect more people and the life harder for married people. It is precisely because of this in recent years, people prefer more  single life than married life such as freedom and responsibility reasons.
